Valencia Basket visits a Zalgiris Kaunas team in top form
R9 EUROLEAGUE
Valencia Basket's first men's team visits the court of the current EuroLeague leader, traveling to Lithuania to face Zalgiris Kaunas (Friday 7, 7:00 p.m., Zalgirio Arena, M+ Deportes 3) in a match corresponding to round 9 of Europe's top competition. The Taronja team will face a tough test for its streak of six consecutive wins on the court of a team that is dominating the statistics on both sides of the court and playing one of the most solid and attractive games in the competition. Although their record on the Lithuanian team's court is positive (they have won five of their seven visits), Zalgiris has beaten Valencia Basket in four of the last five times they have met. With its entire roster available for this game, American Braxton Key could play his first minutes in the EuroLeague after making his debut in the Endesa League over the weekend, and center Yankuba Sima is waiting for his chance to play his first official minutes as a Taronja. Valencia Basket begins this ninth round in sixth place in the EuroLeague with a 5-3 record.
